Fleamarket Finds
This is where I'll document some neat things I found at fleamarkets, estate sales, etc..

Foldable Binoculars
Aren't they neat? I believe they are from the 60s(-ish). Only 2.5 times magnifications and the field of view is kinda small, but I like them.
The mechanism was a bit tired. The inner frame is supposed to slide across slim metal ridges. These are somewhat sharp, so they cut grooves into the inner frame, increasing friction a lot. I filed away those groves. Then I have filed the ridges to be less sharp and bent them slightly to slide along a different part of the inner frame.
Still not perfect, but I wonder if it ever was perfect in the first place. I am unsure about greasing the mechanism, as I don't want the lenses to become dirty. Also I have not seen anything that might be residue of old grease, so I assume they were always meant to have metal sliding on metal "raw".
Small Table
Got this for free at an estate sale. Reinforced the structure and added two extra shelves to store books and my headphone amp. I still need to stain them, but overall this has turned out to be very practical. It is small enough that I can comfortable move it around to where ever I want to listen to music.
